The DIJ library catalog allows you to narrow or to extend searches by using the conjunction (AND) and the disjunction (OR) between two or more keywords with the click of the mouse. The default setting for the search fields is the logical operator AND. If you clear entries to start a new search, the setting will automatically return to AND-linking. AND-linking will narrow the hit rate. OR-linking will expand the search result. Example: Search keyword: “Liebe” Search result: 50 hits Search keyword: „Malerei“ Search result: 56 hits Search keywords: “Liebe” AND “Malerei” Search result: 1 hit Search keywords: “Liebe” OR “Malerei” Search result: 105 hits
